When it is chargedOnce, on the value of a credit top-up, at the point of purchase. Spending that credit on model usage afterwards is a drawdown against an amount already accounted for, not a separate taxable event — so the per-token rates you see are the exact amounts deducted from your balance.
Prices shownHeadline prices are the total payable and include VAT, with the credit and the VAT broken out before you pay.
InvoicesA VAT invoice is issued for every top-up and is available from the billing portal.

Currency and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Credit is prepaid, is drawn down as you use the service, and does not expire.

Your cancellation rights

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have fourteen days to cancel a purchase of digital content. That right ends early only if you expressly asked for immediate supply and acknowledged that asking would end it — which is why checkout has a separate, unticked box for exactly that, rather than burying it in a link to these terms.

We record the wording you were shown, when you agreed to it, and which payment it related to, so the position is evidenced rather than asserted.

In practice we go further than the law requires: if you have topped up and not yet spent the credit, ask within fourteen days and we will refund it, whatever you ticked. See the terms of service for the detail.
