Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026

Draft. These terms reflect how the service actually works, and the trading entity is now settled (PROGRESSIVE ROBOT LTD, company 15400700 — see company details). The governing-law clause, liability caps and the VAT position still need a solicitor’s review before launch.

1. The service

Progressive Labs provides access to third-party large language models through a hosted playground and an API. We are an intermediary: the models are operated by their respective publishers, and their capabilities, availability and behaviour are outside our control.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or over. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secure, and for all usage incurred under them. Tell us immediately if a key is exposed; you can revoke keys yourself at any time from your dashboard.

3. Credits and payment

  • The service is prepaid. You buy credit; usage draws it down.
  • Credit does not expire.
  • Charges are calculated from actual token usage at the rates published on the pricing page at the time of the request.
  • Unused credit is refundable on request to the original payment method. Credit already consumed by completed runs is not refundable.
  • Credit is tied to your account. It is not transferable, not assignable, cannot be given to anyone else, and has no cash value beyond a refund of what you paid.
  • We may change published rates. Changes apply to future requests only, never retroactively.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling. Headline prices shown to consumers are the total payable and include UK VAT at 20%; the credit and the VAT are broken out before you pay. Our VAT number is 506152326.
  • VAT is charged once, on the top-up. Drawing your credit down against model usage is not a further taxable supply, so the per-token rates published are the exact amounts deducted from your balance.

3a. Cancellation and immediate supply

  • As a consumer you normally have fourteen days to cancel a purchase of digital content under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • At checkout we ask you, in a separate box that is not ticked for you, to request that your credit is made available immediately and to acknowledge that this ends that fourteen-day right once you begin using it. We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to, when, and against which payment.
  • Regardless of that, our own policy is more generous: if you have topped up and not spent the credit, ask within fourteen days and we will refund it in full.
  • Business customers buy outside the consumer cancellation regime, but the same refund policy applies as a matter of contract.

3b. Models and routing

  • Where you select auto, we choose which model runs your request, subject to the quality floor in force on your account. Where you pin a model, that model runs.
  • Savings figures shown against a baseline model are estimates and are labelled as such. Our method is published at /method.
  • Models are supplied by third parties and remain subject to their own availability, content policies and deprecation schedules. A model may be withdrawn or replaced at short notice; where that happens, routing will select an alternative that meets your quality floor.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else to;
  • generate child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualises minors;
  • produce malware, or conduct attacks against systems you are not authorised to test;
  • harass, defame, or impersonate a real person or organisation;
  • generate disinformation intended to deceive at scale, or content presented as coming from a person or body that did not produce it;
  • circumvent rate limits, resell raw model access, or evade the usage policies of the underlying model providers.

We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where we do, unused credit is refunded.

5. Your content

You keep all rights in what you send and what the models return to you. We claim no licence over it beyond what is technically required to route your request and return the response.

6. Availability

The service is provided as-is. We do not offer an uptime guarantee on standard accounts. Individual models may become unavailable at short notice if a provider withdraws or deprecates them.

7. Liability

Model outputs can be wrong, biased, or fabricated. Verify anything you rely on. To the fullest extent the law permits, our liability is limited to the credit you have spent in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes and termination

We will give notice of material changes to these terms by email. You may close your account at any time and request a refund of unused credit.
